The Police created that monster. If they hadn't created the bottleneck I think it would have been ok.

Sounds like I got lucky.

Out of the ground on the full time whistle, had to bloody pick up my bag from the bag drop area at OT and made the 6.35 from Piccadilly.

The station outside the away end is very good, much better than the metrolink...

Yeah, we were straight out and on the first train back to Piccadilly, then got that 6:35 as well. Right result.

Yes, 9,000 West Ham fans and 40,000 Man Utd fans all trying to get back to London at the same time must have been murder.

Re: carnage gettng on the 8:20 train last night
Those trains back are never pleasant.

I got back to Piccadilly just before 7, the queues for the trains back to London looked horrendous so me and the boy went and got some food then jumped on the 19:30 to Cardiff, got off at Crewe waited 15 minutes then jumped on a half empty train back to London. Got back to Euston half an hour later than the earliest train we could have got from Mqnchester but worth it for a seat and a bit of civilisation

Re: carnage gettng on the 8:20 train last night
Got back to Piccadilly at 6.25 and spoke to an old bill who said that all the return trains to euston had been declassified, meaning no first class or reserved seats. We had reserved seats on the 8.21.
He told us we could get any train so we jumped on the 6.35 and got seats. Got back to euston around the time the 8.21 would have been setting off

Starting to sound like scousers with comments like "the police created that monster".
We all know that West Ham have some right fucking twats following us, especially with 9k tickets available and the prospect of a full day on the piss.
Was the 8:20 the last train back by ant chance?

Not doubting it was our mong element pushing forward, but the police absolutely created that problem

Re: carnage gettng on the 8:20 train last night
the old bill were a fucking joke

ok the pushing was stupid but it could of been avoided if the silly cunts handled the situation correctly in the first place

Not so, ornchurch. As Joe says, our mongs were pushing which exacerbated things, but the bottleneck was unnecessary.

And no, it wasn't the last train back.
